1. Can not handle various products ,problems with additives like MTBE or ethanol
2. Hot spot-(Temperature excursion)
3. More power consumption due to regeneration requirements when high unit becomes older
4. Big size vessel difficult for Installation & maintenance .
5. Difficult and expensive waste disposal of activated carbon
6. Not flexible over a wide range of VOC
